Oh, it was tough to get through Christmas without our beloved Chiki (Zak's dad), but the four of us managed. Tears were shed, but in our sadness we were also able to experience joy.
I make this delicious strata every year for Christmas morning breakfast. Here is the recipe if you want to try it.
And this is how the day ended:
We lost our kitty on Sunday. We're sad about that. She suffered a seizure the night before that she couldn't come back from. She was surrounded by the people that love her most when she left us. (Thank you Eileen & Jada for being there with us. You have been our angels).
It's definitely a sad note to end our year. Everyone in my house is looking forward to a happier year ahead! We do have some wonderful plans and awesome things going on.
Mostly, I'm happy that we are all healthy, we have steady work, and we have a secure (and loving) home to live in.
I aim for gentleness in 2015. I seek softness, all good things, and plenty of fun travel. I will continue to work on my health, my wellness, and my creative endeavours. There will be a job change (yes) and a goodbye to elementary school for my girl. I also seek to expand in guiding & working with women through my online + real life circles.
There is much to look forward to.
I wish for you a happy, healthy, gentle, fun new year ahead!
Thank you for staying with me another year. I appreciate your presence here more than you know.
