Hello again! I've been making these really tiny moves towards eating cleaner. There's an app, I think it might come with the iphone called "Lose It" where you can log your food intake and daily activity and such. So I started logging in my food at the beginning of the year (they make it easy to scan items in with a photo app for barcodes). What completely surprised me was my carb intake which was bordering on 60% of my total food consumption. How did I miss that? Seeing it on a graph at the end of a week was a little shocking. All I could really do about it was change it, so I did. Enter color...
I've been bringing these gorgeous salads to work (they are big but I split them with my dad) made with roasted vegetables of all colors, beans, and quinoa (which I cook in watered down coconut milk + tumeric .. holy goodness).
One small changes adds up to many changes. I have a great schedule going at the gym and I am slowly eliminating carbs. The next move has yet to reveal itself, but I feel another change coming on.
How are you doing and what small changes have you been incorporating to make your lifestyle just a smidge healthier?
I haven't been able to get a good outfit shot of myself lately because A) it's freezing and B) my brother and photographer has been spending more time on job sites rather than here in the office with me. Boo.
Our trip to London is coming up and I have a couple of new wardrobe items I've been wanting to show you. Maybe I'll get some shots by next Friday.
I made a new collection on Polyvore of some pieces I'm going to buy for the trip. The Tom Ford Perfume is on its way and as soon as I hit publish here, I'm going to Wet Seal dot com to shop. Because we're taking an overnight flight, I did get this pillow & this travel blanket (plus plenty of xanax) to put me into a deep slumber. London is calling, yo. *Travel tips welcome!
