Good morning! I am on the mend and healing after something rocked my system to its core on Fri-Sat. What is my body craving? A nutritious and filling breakfast. I answered the call.
It's been a while since I've made oatmeal (because I've been on a smoothie kick). I love how easy it is to cook and all the good things that can be added. This is my typical oatmeal mix, with a dash of sea salt (not pictured).
I love the ritual of cooking, mixing, and turning off the flame at just the right moment.
My favorite additions are some unsweetened coconut flakes, cinnamon, and a drizzle of raw honey. Perfection in a bowl, comforting and warm.
Today I'm going to the market to get the ingredients for the two salads Susannah shared in this post. (The Rainbow Veggie + the Savory Power Salad). I feel like I need colorful foods to help build my immune system back up. Speaking of immune boosting, I'll be getting the ingredients for this colorful energy salad + these natural juice shots.
