This morning there are four invitations on my fridge. They are colorful reminders that we have truly landed right here at the doorstep of summer. Graduation parties. Bridal Showers. Sweet 16's. Save the dates. I love this feeling of being upon something sweet and spectacular that cannot be named. Do you know this feeling? Isn't is magic?
To arrive here is to have walked through seasons of cold and darkness though. I imagine all of the beautiful things I had been looking forward to and really, what stands out the most, is bearing witness to this beautiful earth coming back to life. Bearing witness to work coming to fruition. Bearing witness to beloveds shaking up their entire existence. Bearing witness to myself, eyes all aglow, bewildered and besotted with each breath drawn. {oh how i love this stargazer's energy reports. here is this week's}
And where do I find myself on this Saturday? Babes, it's a return to all I believe to be true. Music lifts my soul and this is why I switched over to Spotify. I'm listening to my discover weekly playlist. I am thinking about 100 things I could do today but the reality is that I have to take my cat to the vet {completed. tick removed from chin, ugh} and then it'll be time to weed my garden. It is a day to stay home where I am truly needed.
I'm enjoying these wildflowers picked from the side of the road because they smell like the most seductive honey. Pulling over is sooo not overrated.
I'm thinking about the food shopping I need to do and how I normally love to food shop but I'm single parenting for 2 weeks so maybe I'll put in a huge delivery order online. Because I just don't have it in me this weekend.
I'm finding that I'm a mess of wanting to do all the things but needing to move at a relaxing pace.
And then, I didn't tell you, that I quit my job. So I do in fact have a lot of time on my hands. There is so much to admire if you take a moment to stop. pause. take it all in.
And this, loves, is what I'll be doing for the rest of my summer. Giving myself prompts. Bringing belly back to earth. Sleeping under the Solstice moon. Gathering around the flames. Gazing at stars. Picking fruit. Running through lavender fields.
